Friends Indeed is a program that provides opportunities for individuals and groups to help shelters and group homes, and the residents of shelters and group homes, directly. Volunteer activities can involve anything from home maintenance projects to fun activities and special events for the facility residents. Friends Indeed is a flexible program open to anyone willing to help. It is ideal for clubs, businesses, churches and individuals hoping to give back.
Examples of past Friends Indeed projects have included:
- Movie night with pizza and popcorn
- Organizing and painting a group home kitchen
- Toiletry and hygiene items collection
- Purchasing and assembling a basketball hoop for a shelter
- Yard work and planting flowers
